Previously reported, Feb. 2:

An Oxford Township man was arrested and charged after he allegedly sent nude pictures and solicited sex from a detective who was posing as a 15-year-old girl online.

Brian Daniel King, 31, of the 500 block of East Golden Lane, contacted who he thought was a 15-year-old girl on Skout, an online chat app, on Jan. 23, according to an affidavit filed with District Judge Matthew Harvey.

The 15-year-old female online persona was Adams County District Attorney Detective Eric Beyer. After King made contact with the persona, he was informed that "the girl" was 15, had mistakenly listed her age as 25, and he was asked if he was OK with the age of the girl.

During his communication with the online persona, King sent naked pictures of himself, asked for oral sex and asked if he could take the virginity of what he thought was the 15-year-old girl.

Detective Beyer made arrangements to meet King at the Sheetz on Baltimore Pike, Adams County, but King allegedly went to the wrong Sheetz.

When King didn't show up, Beyer accused King of lying and had King send him a picture of his face, holding up four fingers.

Beyer then had the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center perform a facial recognition search, which identified King.

King contacted Beyer again on Jan. 25, wanting to meet up with "the girl." He asked if he should bring a condom and if "she" was OK with having "her" first sexual experience in a car, but King failed to appear for the second time, Beyer said in the affidavit.

King was charged with criminal solicitation, sexual offenses, obscene and other sexual materials and performances, sexual abuse of contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and dissemination of explicit sexual material to a minor, according to online court documents.

He was taken to Adams County prison on Jan. 30, in lieu of $100,000 and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 6.

King's attorney information is not yet listed.
