Super Bowl LIII between the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots is rapidly approaching, which means it's time to revisit all of the annual Super Bowl traditions: Footballsquares. A new wave of commercials. And, of course, outrageous prop bets.

Off-the-field proposition bets, as they are more formally known, aren't legal in Las Vegas, where sports books are required to stick to in-game action. But  each year, a number of online outlets give gamblers a means of betting on the strangest and most obscure parts of the Super Bowl, from the attire of halftime performers to specific mentions within the television broadcast.
