Gov. Parson will be ‘really aggressive’ with rural connectivity

Missouri Governor Mike Parson says he’ll be “really aggressive” with almost $5 million in the state budget augmenting federal money to improve rural broadband connectivity in Missouri.

“It’s important to me to make sure every kid and every community has the opportunity to do their business from their home towns and where they live,” Governor Parson told Brownfield, during the Heartland Dairy Expo in Springfield, Mo., “because as we talked in here today, agriculture is the number one industry.”

During the state legislative session, said Parson, he’ll continue working to develop the state’s workforce and rural infrastructure.

“The roads, the bridges,” said Governor Parson, “all the things that we deal with every day, we’ve got to make sure we’ve got them up to where we can get our products out of the state.”
