USDA to reopen all FSA offices nationwide Thursday

U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says all Farm Service Agency offices nationwide will reopen soon to provide additional services to farmers and ranchers.

In a statement, Perdue says following the limited reopening of some FSA offices during the government shutdown, USDA now plans to open all offices beginning January 24th to offer Market Facilitation Program signup and transactions as well as many other services.

Perdue also provided a firm deadline of February 14th for MFP signup.

Other services Perdue calls critical that farmers and ranchers can again work with their local FSA office on include marketing assistance loans, direct and guaranteed farm operating loans, emergency loans, existing CRP contract services, sugar price support loans, Dairy Margin Protection, ARC, PLC, Livestock Forage Disaster, and Livestock Indemnity program transactions.
