State police investigate possible threat against Cumberland Valley Christian School

A 16-year-old boy was identified by state police for allegedly making a possible threat against the Cumberland Valley Christian School. 

Troopers were first notified about the incident around 8:30 p.m. on Monday. According to a report, it was discovered the teen had sent a Snapchat picture of a firearm with what was perceived to be a threatening caption to several classmates.

The students who received the message then notified school officials and police. 

The boy was interviewed, and the Franklin County District Attorney will be consulted regarding charges. 

Police said there is no threat for the school or public.
