A Milwaukee man died after apparently slipping and falling on a patch of ice outside his apartment on the lower east side, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said Thursday.

Mark John Jollie, 58, was reported down on the pavement by a Milwaukee County Transit System driver shortly before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of North Van Buren Street, according to a medical examiner's report.

Jollie had suffered lacerations to his nose and above his left eye and blood was noted on a patch of ice in a nearby parking lot, according to the report.

His death has been tentatively listed as an accident, but autopsy results were still pending Thursday, according to the report.
