Police log: Man flipped out on people at Chambersburg laundromat

Jan. 6: Shakira Staten was cited with criminal mischief after police responded to Springhill Suites, 451 Gateway Avenue, for a report that a guest had damaged a TV in one of the guest rooms, Chambersburg Police said.

Jan. 8: Quadir Mitchell was charged with disorderly conduct after he yelled and cursed at an employee and other patrons at a laundromat on Wayne Avenue, Chambersburg Police said. 

Jan. 8: Chambersburg Police took a report of a bullet lodged in an AC unit in the 200 block of Stonegate Circle South. Jan. 14: Chambersburg Police issued a warrant for Rahim S. Dec. 19: Jay Lamar Stauffer, 55, Shippensburg was accused of failing to update or verify his address as required by Megan's Law, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Dec. 26: A Newville woman reported finding scratches on her vehicle at about 10:16 a.m. in South Middleton Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Dec. 30: Joseph Henderson, 28, Shippensburg, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop at about 3:20 a.m. in the area of Walnut Bottom and North Dickinson School roads, Dickinson Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Dec. 30: Teddy Caufman, 27, Newville, was charged with drug possession following a traffic stop at about 11:04 p.m. in Lower Frankford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Jan. 8: Trey Brubaker, Duncannon, was charged with retail theft after stealing a $115 jacket and $185 ring from Kohl's in South Middleton Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Jan. 12: Troy Swartz, 31, Mt. Holly Springs, was taken to Cumberland County Prison on suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop at 2:45 a.m. on Allen Road, South Middleton Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Jan. 15: A Philadelphia man was accused of grabbing a Carlisle woman by the arm and scratching her forehead, at about 1:07 a.m. on East Street, Mt. Holly Springs, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
