Pair in jail after police find meth in Chambersburg home

A preliminary hearing will be held Tuesday for a Chambersburg man and a Fayetteville woman after authorities found items connected to drug trafficking in their home.

Kimberly Jo Staley, 27, and Richard A. Harris Jr., 47, are both charged with one count of felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, according to court documents.

Officers conducted a search at the pair's apartment in the 900 block of Stouffer Avenue the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 15. Police said they found a quantity of suspected methamphetamine consistent with distribution, a digital scale, plastic bags, a pipe for ingesting or inhaling the drug, mobile phones and money possibly from drug sales. 

Staley and Harris were arraigned and then taken to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.

The hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 22 in Franklin County Central Court.
