Meteorologists are keeping a close eye on two storm track systems that are expected to bring snow and mixed precipitation to central Pennsylvania.

The first storm should bring snow on Thursday, between 1 and 3 inches for most of Pennsylvania.

Meteorologists are still tracking the potential snowfall from back-to-back storms.

There is still a little uncertainty about the second storm.

"Cold air in the wake of the storm on Thursday and Friday, combined with extensive snowcover, may cause the storm that follows to track farther south than our indicators suggest," according to AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok.

Meteorologists are tracking two winter storm systems that could bring inches of snow to the Northeast late and into the weekend.

The southern portion of the state could receive more of a wintry mix and the northern area could get the snow from the second storm if it stays on the track it's on now.

Initial reports said the second storm has the potential to be a "major" one and could bring up to a foot of snow to parts of the Northeast.

For now, central Pennsylvania should prepare for a few inches and plunging temperatures on Sunday due to an arctic blast, according to the National Weather Service State College.
