Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka Candle

Previously only available as a fragrance, Myrhh & Tonka is now in candle and body cream format if you find yourself wanting to be enveloped in the smooth and creamy fragrance. That’s what this fragrance does to be honest… it ‘wraps’ you – it’s the cashmere blanket of candles and to me it’s quite soporific so only light it if you don’t have a pressing reason to leave the house!

Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka Candle

It has a top note of lavender, which explains why it makes me feel sleepy, but I didn’t recognise it initially because it’s rather overshadowed by the balsam and tonka. I don’t find the throw on this overpowering – it sits as a mood soother and atmosphere smoother, made for relaxing on cold evenings when you’re just glad to be home and warm. It takes a while to get going I noticed and another minus for this is that it comes with a bow on a sticky tape that holds the lid on and it left sticky marks on the silver lid. It’s HERE for £56 – something for those long February evenings perhaps.
