Lincoln County’s classic country music band, The Graham Brothers, will appear this Saturday, Jan. 19, at Billy’s Sports Bar and Grill starting at 8 p.m., singing and playing dance music for guests.

The Graham Brothers liven up another venue.

We’ve been playing country music for folks around here for 48 years,” brother Dale said. He’s the drummer keeping rhythm while his brother Larry “Slick” Graham plays guitar and fiddle, and his brother Hoyt plays the bass guitar. Kim Blakey from El Paso, and Myron Cox from Albuquerque round out the current five-piece band.

The Graham Brothers remain one of the premier bands playing regularly in the community, having started when the three brothers were in high school.

“My brothers and I were playing together in Ruidoso back when I was 14 years old,” Dale said. “Now we’ve all got families that are raised and we have more time to spend together with the music. We’re excited that Billy’s Sports Bar is putting live music back on Saturday nights and we’re so happy to have the opportunity to play.”

Along with the live music on Saturdays, Billy’s Sports Bar and Grill features Karaoke at 7 p.m., Friday evenings. The sports bar is located next to Billy the Kid Casino, which will be giving away $500 cash in drawings both evenings. Guests also can order the $14.94 Ribeye or Prime Rib Steak Special. For more information, visit www.raceruidoso.com.
