Police log: Cat dies after being shot near Chambersburg home

Nov. 2-6: An unknown person found a Fayetteville man's debit card and drivers license at BJ's Wholesale Club's gas station, 540 Gateway Ave., and used them to set up a PayPal account in the victim's name and buy an item worth $1,109.50, then had the item delivered to the victim's residence and retrieved it while no one was home, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Jan. 2: Nobody was injured in a crash that resulted from a Chevrolet Silverado turning in front of a Jeep Wrangler at about 12:35 p.m. on Lincoln Way East near Quarry Road, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Jan. 6-7: Someone took a snow plow parked behind a business on Lincoln Way East, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Jan. 7: Chambersburg Police were called to a home on Geyer Drive at about 2:19 p.m. for a report of a cat the owners believe was shot near the area between 10 a.m. and noon on Jan. 6. According to the report, the pet died after it was found on the front porch and taken to the emergency vet who believes it was injured with a pellet gun. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 717-264-4131. 

Jan. 10: Nobody was injured in a two-vehicle crash at about 12:52 p.m. at the intersection of Kohler Road and Parkwood Drive, Greene Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Jan. 11: Jaelin Carmack, 18, Mercersburg, was arrested in connection to an incident in which he is accused of throwing two men and a woman to the ground who were trying to restrain him during an argument at about 5:30 p.m. at a home in Guilford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Jan. 14: Chambersburg Police were dispatched to a burglary at the AT&T store on Norland Avenue at about 3 a.m. in which the suspects forcibly entered the business, according to the report. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 717-264-4131. 

Greencastle area

Jan. 8: Someone opened an AT&T account in a Greencastle woman's name, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
