North Carolina State forward Wyatt Walker ejected for tripping Pittsburgh player with hand

North Carolina State forward Wyatt Walker was abruptly ejected from Saturday's ACC matchup against Pittsburgh after the 6-9 senior tripped a Panthers player to the ground with his hand.

Barely two minutes into the game, Walker attempted to take a charge on Pittsburgh's Xavier Johnson, who collided into Walker as he went crashing into the baseline. As Johnson continued walking and got tangled with a sitting Walker's feet, Walker then appeared to pull Johnson's feet from under him in frustration, sending the Pittsburgh guard to the ground. 

A small confrontation between both teams ensued before referees rushed over to prevent any escalation. Walker was assessed a technical foul for the play and was subsequently ejected after the officials determined the severity of the technical.

Walker's ejection was at the 18-minute mark of the first half, keeping the Wolf Pack's big man out for the rest of the game. N.C. State (14-2, 2-1) hung on to beat Pittsburgh (11-5, 1-2), 86-80.
