Trump to attend AFBF Convention

President Trump will attend the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention Monday.

It will be the second time the president has attended while in office.  Trump is expected to talk about border security and successes from the past year.

The 100th annual meeting New Orleans will also include Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, USDA Under Secretary Ted McKinney and several members of Congress.

American Farm Bureau’s chief economist John Newton tells Brownfield there are a number of dairy policies that will be considered during the meeting, “Milk labeling and the labeling of dairy products, and there’s also some interest on whether or not the dairy industry needs to sit down and carefully consider Federal Milk marketing Order Pricing regulations.” He says dairy programs that can better align the supply of milk with demand will also be on the agenda.
