Grafton man arrested after Port Washington man found lying in pool of blood after bar fight

A 35-year-old Port Washington man was found lying in a pool of his own blood after a bar fight in downtown Port Washington on Sunday, Dec. 16.

A 26-year-old town of Grafton man has told police that he struck the man in the head with a pint glass in the parking lot behind Schooner Pub, 114 N. Franklin St., around 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16.

The Grafton man said there was an argument in the tavern and taunting in the parking lot, according to police

The Grafton man was taken into custody and transported to the Ozaukee County Jail on a probation hold. The Port Washington Police Department is requesting the Ozaukee County District Attorney's Office charge him with substantial battery.

The Port Washington man "suffered obvious trauma to his face," according to police, and shards of a pint glass were strewn about. Officers rendered first aid until an ambulance arrived to take him to a hospital.
