Another solid week for corn export inspections

The USDA says corn export inspections as of the week ending December 13th remain ahead of the projected pace for the marketing year.

Wheat came out at 682,162 tons, up 233,160 from the week ending December 6th and 57,024 higher than the week ending December 14th, 2017. More than halfway through the 2018/19 marketing year, wheat inspections are 11,712,571 tons, compared to 13,756,228 in 2017/18.

Corn was reported at 885,060 tons, 8,755 above than the previous week and a jump of 248,209 from this time last year. Just over a quarter into the marketing year, corn inspections are 15,991,318 tons, compared to 9,241,028 a year ago.

Soybeans were pegged at 974,876 tons, 48,276 more than the prior week, but 821,093 less than a year ago. So far, this marketing year, soybean inspections are 15,159,894 tons, compared to 25,896,642 last year.

Sorghum totaled 24,048 tons, an increase of 7,133 on the week, but a decrease of 151,243 on the year. 2018/19 sorghum inspections are 393,768 tons, compared to 1,435,184 in 2017/18.
