Introducing the New Winter 2019 Bible Study

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here is the information on our winter 2019 Bible Study. #Biblestudy #John #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Cue the confetti!!!  It’s time to announce the NEW Winter 2019 Bible Study!

Drum roll please…

It’s the book of John!

I can’t think of a better way to start out the new year than drawing closer to Jesus – our Savior – through the study of one of the most beloved books of the Bible – the Gospel of John!  We will read one chapter a day, through the book of John together.

This study begins on
Monday, January 14th.

The optional John Journal is available NOW
exclusively
on Amazon!

Inside the journal you will find:

*An Introduction to the book of John
*An explanation of how to use the signature S.O.A.K. method of Bible Study
*The GMG Coloring Chart
*The Verse of the Day each day
*A Reflection Question for each day
*Blank space for SOAKing each chapter of the book of John.
This companion journal is not required to join us.

For those who have been following the Good Morning Girls Bible Studies  – you know that we have been in the Old Testament for the last three sessions.  We did 2 Samuel in the Spring, Psalm chapters 1-50 in the summer, and an in-depth, verse by verse study of the book of Ruth this past fall.  So now we are back to the New Testament and I’m so excited to be in the book of John!

John is the fourth gospel and it is unlike the previous three gospels.  It is unique!  The book of John shows 7 signs and miracles.  6 of these miracles are not mentioned in the other gospels.   Also, there are almost no parables in John but it includes the seven “I AM” statements.  These statements are not included in the other gospels!  And finally, we will see our Savior and Lord lay his life down for us on the cross, rise from the dead and then walk and talk with his disciples one last time before sending the Holy Spirit.

I can’t wait to see how God reveals himself personally to each of us as we read the book of John together!

If you are new, welcome to Good Morning Girls! We are so glad you are here!

We are Reading Through the Bible– one chapter a day – five days a week.

There are no sign-ups or enrollments.

We are reading the Bible, switching back and forth between the New Testament and the Old Testament.

So far we have completed 21 books of the Bible:

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, Esther, Job, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, Ecclesiastes, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Acts, Romans and James!  You can find ALL of the links to past studies on the GMG Resources Page.

This is a wonderful method that slows us down and helps us soak in every single word.

Here’s what it looks like in my Bible (and some of yours).  You can find more pictures like this out on my Instagram page.

  9. I am excited and can’t wait to start this study in the Book of John. Every year starts with good intentions and somewhere along the way, I fall off and then become very frustrated with myself. By the grace of God I will make it through this time. I have never used the SOAK method and want to learn more.
