Seacrest boys soccer player Lukas Pusinskas has been voted the Naples Daily News Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Babcock Ranch, for Dec. 3-8.

Pusinskas scored six goals last week, leading the Stingrays to two wins over district opponents. He received 13,329 of the 28,748 votes (46.4 percent) in the Daily News' online poll.

Jovan Stulic, a boys basketball player at Seacrest, finished second in the poll with 11,976 votes (41.7 percent). Naples High girls soccer player Jill Kinstler was third with 2,566 votes (8.9 percent).

A new Athlete of the Week poll is posted at 10 a.m. every Monday, and voting is open until 10 a.m. Thursday. Each winner is presented with an Athlete of the Week T-shirt provided by BSN SPORTS as well as a Naples Daily News gift bag. Voting is restricted to one vote per device per hour.

The nominees for Dec. 3-8 were:

Boys Basketball

Jovan Stulic, Seacrest – Had 38 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists in two victories last week

Girls Basketball

Grace Dean, First Baptist – Averaged 30 points in three district wins, including a school-record 35 points against Moore Haven

Boys Soccer

Lukas Pusinskas, Seacrest – Scored six goals in two district victories last week

Girls Soccer

Jill Kinstler, Naples – Tallied seven goals, including two hat tricks, in three wins last week
