Curt Kirkham and Frida Lewis Pantoja , Pre-K students at Sierra Vista Primary, have been chosen as this month's "Student Spotlight" for being respectful, responsible and having excellent attendance.

Sierra Vista Primary (SVP) is proud to present “Student Spotlight” for December. Every month, students are chosen at SVP for being kind, thoughtful, respectful and exemplary students.

The school’s staff takes pride in their roles as educators and stresses the importance of behaving appropriately at school and at home to students. Many students at the school have no absences, are never tardy and do their best each day in the class room.

This week Pre-K four years old Curt Kirkham and Frida Lewis Pantoja were chosen for being all of these and much more.

These two children may seem young to understand exactly what they have been chosen for, but it is quite the opposite when it comes to these two. They are bright and articulate children who enjoy going to school everyday learning new things.

They are respectful at school and at home and always willing to help others whenever they can.

Curt Kirkham’s favorite activity is playing with his friends inside and he enjoys reading “Cat in the Hat” out of all his books.

His favorite animal is the lion because “they are wild”. His aspires to become a doctor (when he grows up) and enjoys playing the game of soccer. He enjoys spending time at his cousin’s house and his favorite movie of all time is “Cat the Hat” and he loves to the game “Hippos”.

Frida Lewis Pantoja enjoys playing with her friends outside and favorite sport is football. She adores dogs because her dog “can chase cats”. She aspires to become a dentist when she grows up; one that will “pass out candy to everyone”.

Her favorite television show is Peppa Pig, she loves playing Sly Fox and her favorite book is “Cat in the Hat”.

The two students were asked “What would you invent to help other people and make the world a better place?”

“I would invent more doctors to help people,” Kirkham said and “I would build a house,” Lewis Pantoja said.
