Packers safety Josh Jones on Clubhouse Live: Joe Philbin 'kept guys together'

Q: You topped Atlanta 34-20 on Sunday. Did you feel like guys had something to prove given what went down last week with the coaching change?

Jones: Definitely. Everybody, we just played our game. Everybody played together. All phases played together. You kind of see how each phase was playing off each other, feeding off each other. Offense was playing off the defense. Defense was playing off the offense. Back and forth. We made smart plays and big plays when we needed.

Q: A team can go one of two ways when you have a coaching change during the season: It can come together, or it can fracture. How were you guys able to unite and keep it together?

Jones: Obviously, with (interim coach Joe) Philbin's leadership, he kept guys together. He kept guys confident. We had a solid week of preparation, and it started in practice. Guys were fired up in practice. Guys were flying around and executing the plan. It started there, and we went out and performed on the field on Sunday.

Q: Aaron Rodgers said afterward that he had some extra messages for the guys on game day. What did he say? And how did it help the team against Atlanta?

Jones: He gave a speech before we went out there on the field, the speeches that guys give to hype guys up. ... But Saturday night, we did something unusual. We went out on Lambeau Field, and we watched our highlight reel (on the video board). ... We went out there, and guys were together. We huddled up. We were a unit, a team. Guys were together and really understanding that we're the Green Bay Packers - who we are and who we're playing for. ... It was pretty awesome. It was cool.

Q: You've had three takeaways this season in limited time on the field. You also have two career interception returns for touchdowns. Is there an art and technique to creating turnovers? It's not just being lucky, right?

Breeland: I wouldn't say it's just luck. ... I've just got a knack for being around the ball. If you're around the ball, things like that tend to happen for you. I can't really say it's luck or it's something that I'm doing. Maybe it's something that the other person is not doing right. But either way, it works out for me.
