San Angelo holiday trash pickup schedule; Christmas tree disposal, city office closures

SAN ANGELO — Several San Angelo city offices will be closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, including trash pickup.

San Angelo Christmas, New Year trash pickup

No trash pickup Christmas Day: garbage collection will be delayed one day from Dec. 25-28. Tuesday's routes will be picked up Wednesday. Wednesday on Thursday. Thursday on Friday. Friday on Saturday. This includes commercial customers. 

Yes trash pickup New Years Day: garbage collection will remain unchanged. 

Christmas trees non-artificial Christmas trees will be collected on bulk trash pickup day. Trees should be left near the tan garbage bins on bulk pickup day, which alternates weekly with curbside recycling. Find out your bulk pickup day online at cosatx.us/solidwaste under the “links” label on the right side of the page.

Drop off Christmas trees at the Foster Communications Coliseum parking lot, 50 E. 43rd St., anytime between Dec. 26 and Jan. 6. Be sure to remove all ornaments and decorations and the city will run these trees through a chipper. 

Get free mulch from chipped up Christmas trees at the city's landfill, 3002 Old Ballinger Highway. The landfill is open 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.

  • Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers
  • San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
  • Animal Shelter
  • Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices
  • Municipal Court
  • Nature Center
  • Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office will be closed Dec. 21-25, Dec. 28 and Jan. 1.
  • Fort Concho and its visitors center, 630 S. Oakes St., will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1 but remains open for self-guided tours.
