Marquette guard Allazia Blockton calls a play for her teammate.

Senior guard Allazia Blockton became the Marquette women’s basketball team’s all-time leading scorer in the No. 18 Golden Eagles’ 76-57 win over Northwestern on Sunday in Evanston, Illinois.

Blockton entered the game needing 16 points to break the record of 1,940 career points, set by Krystal Ellis ('09).

The Milwaukee native and Dominican graduate finished with 21 points and has amassed 1,946 points in 106 games.

"That's a testament to her, a testament to hard work and also her teammates," said MU coach Carolyn Kieger, who was a teammate of Ellis' at Marquette.

Blockton is likely to become the first 2,000-point scorer in Marquette history, male or female.

Natisha Hiedeman added 17 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block for Marquette (7-2).
