Shavata Day-Long Brow Tint

As someone who doesn’t really do very much with their brows (when I do, it’s Benefit Brow Powder nine times out of ten) a product like this makes me wonder why I don’t. Partially, it’s because I have a long fringe so they’re hidden, but also because I don’t like a very manicured brow. A Twitter friend flagged up to me that the latest Chanel ad features natural brows so perhaps we’re coming to the end of the ultra-brow look (not if Instagram has anything to do with, I’m sure!).  These pens from Shavata are the easiest things in the world to use. The tip means that application isn’t one thick line, instead a natural feathered effect, but in any case, the formula only shows on hair, not skin (so no swatches). It works over greys and blondes too and you can choose between Dusk for darker hair and Dawn for lighter (Lucy will want to get her hands on Dawn). My natural fit is Dusk – I wore it all of yesterday and yes indeed, it was still there by end of play.

They’re as fool-proof as its possible to be – with no skin staining you can go wildly wrong and still nothing will show but a darker, more defined brow. Of course, you have to have brow hair in the first place so if you’ve over-plucked and are looking to make them seem fuller, this isn’t the one for you, but otherwise, if you just like to do a whisper of grooming and darkening for definition, it’s genius.

The quick-thinking PR for Shavata sent a bit of blonde hair so that I do have at least something I can show you – this is Dusk, the darker variant to show the effect. You can find the tints for £19 each HERE.
