Chambersburg woman charged after allegedly stabbing, cutting man

CHAMBERSBURG - A Chambersburg woman is in jail on allegations she injured another man with a knife, Chambersburg Police said. 

Kimberly Lee Thomas, 46, is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault, according to court  records. As of Wednesday evening, she remained in Franklin County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Officers were called to Chambersburg Hospital's emergency room on Tuesday, Nov. 20 for a report of a patient who suffered a chest wound from a sharp object. 

Police said an investigation revealed Thomas had cut and/or stabbed the man several times with a knife while they were in a home on West Queen Street. 

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thomas for Nov. 27.
