Police log: Warrant issued for woman who stole 7 vacuums from Chambersburg Target

Chambersburg area

Nov. 9: Chambersburg Police issued a warrant for Gabriella Ayala, who is accused of stealing seven vacuums, worth a total $2,669.93, from Target over a two-day period. 

Nov. 10: Someone damaged the hood of a parked vehicle in the 700 block of Broad Street sometime between noon on Nov. 10 and 1 p.m. Nov. 12, Chambersburg Police said. 

Nov. 13: A Chambersburg man traveling south on Black Gap Road, Greene Township, at about 7:53 a.m. attempted an illegal maneuver in order to get in front of another motorist, then slid across the road and struck a curb, then a PennDOT sign and a utility pole, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Nov. 17: Chambersburg Police responded at 3:24 p.m. to the Kwik Fill, 1080 Wayne Ave., for a report that a dark red SUV received gas and left without anyone paying. Fannettsburg area

Nov. 18: A warrant was issued for Robert Boyer, 61, Fannettsburg, after a woman receiving treatment in the emergency department at Chambersburg Hospital told police he had abused her the evening of Nov. 16 on Cedar Avenue, Metal Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Boyer allegedly punched the woman in the face, which caused her to fall to the ground, then kicked her, causing two broken ribs and multiple other injuries. 

Mercersburg area

Nov. 16: A Nissan Altima driven by a Lemasters woman sustained major damage to its front end after it lost traction and struck shrubbery off the side of Church Hill Road, Peters Township, at about 5:50 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Nov. 17: A Greencastle man was arrested following a domestic dispute at about 6:36 p.m. on Kuhn Road, Peters Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Shippensburg area

Nov. 12-13: A 16-inch-tall garden gnome was taken from a flower bed area in the 300 block of Dwelling Road, Shippensburg Police said. 

Nov. 17: A ported cable circular saw and a Milwaukee router, estimated at $500, were taken from a porch in the 400 block of East King Street, Shippensburg Police said. 

Nov. 17: Adam Schmick, 20, Dillsburg, was charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking after police responded to the 100 block of Roxbury Road for a report that someone was trying to enter a residence, Shippensburg Police said.
