Police ID Morrice man killed in Tuesday morning crash on Interstate 69 near Bath Road

A 51-year-old Morrice man was killed in a crash early Tuesday morning on Interstate 69 near Bath Road. 

The Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that James Edward Ware was driving west on the interstate at around 4:30 a.m. when he lost control, crossed the median and hit a semi-truck traveling east. 

Ware was ejected from the vehicle, and a black sedan then hit him but left the scene, police said. 

Police are asking that the driver of the sedan or anyone else with information about the incident call 989-743-3411 ext 7223.
