Thanksgiving paper to be available Wednesday

The biggest newspaper of the year will be available starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday at most single-copy outlets.

Again this year, you can time shift that Thanksgiving Day ritual of picking up the hefty Public Opinion at your home (if you want to get a head start) or traveling to the convenience store.

You can pick it up at the news stand on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.

We're moving publication ahead for the convenience of the scores of customers who can benefit from Black Friday planning, with all those advertising inserts, on Wednesday.

Those home delivery customers who just want to wait to receive their newspaper at home will have it delivered at its normal time - before 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

The newspaper itself will be special, with the return of a popular Public Opinion holiday tradition of years past: An Unfinished Christmas Story by a local author. Children invited to submit an ending of their own for publication on Christmas Eve. For puzzle fans, there will be extra crossword pages too.
