Wisconsin soybean harvest 91%, corn 80%

Wisconsin farmers took advantage of five days suitable for fieldwork to advance the soybean harvest past 90 percent.

As of Sunday, the USDA says beans are now a week behind last year and nine days behind the five-year average.

Corn harvest, at 80 percent done, is seven days ahead of a year ago and two days faster than normal.

Corn moisture is averaging 18 percent.

Nearly 90 percent of the winter wheat crop has emerged, with 77 percent rated good to excellent.
