Mixed week for export inspections

The USDA says corn export inspections as of the week ending November 15th remain ahead of projections for the 2018/19 marketing year.

Wheat came out at 509,118 tons, up 163,377 from the week ending November 8th and 248,520 higher than the week ending November 16th, 2017. For the 2018/19 marketing year to date, wheat inspections are 9,810,046 tons, compared to 12,017,219 in 2017/18.

Corn was reported at 797,459 tons, 360,005 less than the previous week, but 118,838 more than this time last year. At this point in the marketing year, corn inspections are 11,935,262 tons, compared to 6,637,828 a year ago.

Soybeans were pegged at 1,055,940 tons, a decline of 299,924 from the week before and 1,219,964 from a year ago. So far, this marketing year, soybean inspections are 11,032,297 tons, compared to 19,330,194 last year.

Sorghum totaled 54,830 tons, an increase of 43,177 on the week, but a decrease of 11,458 on the year. 2018/19 sorghum inspections are 226,227 tons, compared to 708,232 in 2017/18.
