Lamar Jackson to start for Ravens in place of injured Joe Flacco

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (8) warms up prior to a game against the Denver Broncos at M&T Bank Stadium.

With fading odds of making it to the postseason, the Baltimore Ravens will have to rely on a new starting quarterback on Sunday.

Lamar Jackson is slated to start against the Cincinnati Bengals and fill in for the injured Joe Flacco, who was among the Ravens' inactives.

Flacco had been listed as doubtful after missing all of last week's practices with a hip injury.

Jackson, the former Heisman Trophy winner and No. 32 overall pick in the first round out of Louisville, will be making the first start of his career. He has seen the field as part of two-quarterback sets, completing seven of 12 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 139 yards and a score on 28 carries.

The Ravens (4-5) have their last three games and fallen to third in the AFC North behind the Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.
