Winter weather could delay harvest

Several states including Indiana, Ohio, and parts of Missouri and Illinois have been under a winter weather advisory.

Brownfield ag meteorologist Greg Soulje tells Brownfield the wet and cold conditions will likely delay harvest.

“If you’re still out there trying to wrap up harvest for 2018 probably some delays anticipated coming off some softening grounds and of course that moisture primarily in the form of snow but can’t rule out some freezing rain and sleet as well.”

Soulje predicts much milder conditions after the winter weather system passes.
