Oxnard police renewed their plea for the public’s help solving the homicide of Oxnard resident Labh Nigah, 55, four years ago after he had dropped his child off at school.

On the morning of Nov. 13, 2014, Nigah was found at Sierra Linda Park, in the 100 block of Indigo Place, suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to the Oxnard Police Department. Nigah died soon after officers arrived.

According to police, Nigah had dropped off his child at Sierra Linda School and was walking in the park when he was attacked and stabbed multiple times.

A male, who remains unidentified, was seen running west on Holly Avenue and was last reported in the area of Ventura Road and Carmen Way.

Witnesses who were near the scene at the time of the attack and interviewed by police described him as between the ages of 14 and 22 and standing 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build and black hair.

Investigators created a composite sketch of the suspect and, using DNA evidence from the scene, formed an approximation of his appearance.

Since the launch of the investigation, detectives have received little additional information.

“Unfortunately, there has not been anything,” said Oxnard police Sgt. Scott Aaron.

However, Aaron hoped reminding the community of the homicide would spur people to come forward.

“Sometimes it takes a person some time to come forward,” he said.
