Ventura man arrested on suspicion of lewd acts with child

A 41-year-old Ventura man was arrested Tuesday after a weekslong investigation into alleged lewd acts with a minor, police said.

Ventura police launched their investigation in October regarding a sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl. Officials alleged that the suspect had been involved in ongoing lewd acts with the victim since February, according to the Ventura Police Department.

On Tuesday, investigators served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the 400 block of Thompson Boulevard in Ventura, where evidence was reportedly discovered linking the 41-year-old to the alleged offenses, authorities said.
