Minnesota harvest: soybeans 97% complete, corn 87%

Minnesota farmers are nearly finished harvesting soybeans and are making a final push on corn.

The USDA says just three percent of the state’s soybean acres remain unharvested, which is nine days behind last year and 10 days behind normal.

The corn harvest is 87 percent complete, six days off last year’s pace.

Corn moisture is averaging 18 percent.

Some farmers continue harvesting sunflowers, with 17 percent of the crop left to harvest.
