FAYETTEVILLE - A Fayetteville man previously charged with rape of a child is now facing new charges after over 100 sexually explicit photos and videos of children were found on several of his devices.

Stewart William Hake, 35, is charged with 151 counts of felony child pornography, according to court documents. Court documents filed earlier this year in July shortly before Hake was arrested show he is also facing 10 other felony charges, including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault, incest of a minor and disseminating photos or film of child sex acts.

The Kentucky Attorney General office contacted state police on May 28 after they received information just a few days before during an undercover investigation that a person, identified as Hake, requested an agent with the office provide him with sexually explicit images of a young girl, court documents show.

Police said during a conversation between the two, Hake discussed how to have sex with the girl and told the agent she was ready to do so. He also allegedly attempted to solicit pictures from the agent of him having sex with the girl.

Authorities searched Hake's home on Cedarbrook Court on May 29, and found a laptop in a duffle bag in an outside trash can. Court documents show Hake told officers he smashed the computer on the ground before police arrived.

The investigation also revealed that the Kik group, identified as "familylovegroup," required "live" proof of child abuse, and had immediately requested the agent send sexually explicit images of the girl once joining. According to court documents, Hake said he knew of other instances in which nude photos of children were exchanged on the platform.

Kik, a free instant messaging mobile app based in Canada, grants anonymity to its users. The app maintains images and video content sent by users for about 30 days before they are deleted from its system, according to the company’s guide to law enforcement. Historical data logs and complaints are stored longer.

The hard drive and Samsung Galaxy cell phone seized during the search were later forensically analyzed by the state police computer crimes unit. A report received on Nov. 9 showed the hard drive contained 12 child porn images, and the cell phone contained 47 images along with 92 child porn videos, court documents show.

Hake was arraigned and is currently in the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20.
