A Chambersburg Police officer was dispatched to the 100 block on Lincoln Way West at about 4:16 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5 for a report of someone with a gun. They discovered a woman on a second floor porch who was crying and motioned for an officer to come and talk with her.

The woman told authorities another woman she did not know in a black jacket had pointed a gun at her while she was walking with her friend in an alley near West Burkhart Avenue, court documents show. She ran and hid on the porch without seeing where the other woman went.

As she was speaking with authorities, the woman's friend came back to the area along with Fletcher who stood next to the officer. The woman started to walk away, police said, and told them she was going to call her mother for a ride because she did not feel safe in the area.

According to court documents, Fletcher told the officer she had seen the woman run away, but nothing had happened. During this time, the woman came back and stood next to police still upset and shaken, but gave no indication of knowing Fletcher. She told authorities she would not provide any more information.

Surveillance footage of the area showed the woman and her friend walking in the alley, when a dark-colored SUV pulled up behind them and a woman got out and drew a handgun from her hip, documents show. Police said this woman then pointed the gun at the other woman before running in their direction while putting the firearm back on her hip.

The officer identified the woman with the gun as Fletcher, because she was wearing the same clothes in the video as she was when she spoke with authorities.

Surveillance also showed Fletcher walking back to the car and her apartment, and then coming back carrying a bag. Police said she eventually left in the SUV with another woman, but was seen a few minutes later walking into the alley near West Burkhart Avenue to speak with the officer.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20.
