Shelter offers $25 adoption fee as Thanksgiving special

Staff at the animal shelter operated by the Humane Society of Lincoln County hope to see many of their canine and feline charges spend Thanksgiving in new, loving forever homes.

A bow is for playing.

To enhance their chances, the society is staging a Thanksgiving Adoption Special with all of the critters available for $25. That fee includes spay or neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, a small bag of food and 30 days of free pet insurance with the owner's activation.

The price will be good from Nov. 12 through Nov. 30.

The staff urges anyone thinking about adopting a four-legged friend to stop by at the shelter, 422 Gavilan Canyon Road. Call 575-257-9841 for more information. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, closed Wednesday and Sunday.
