Peeples has ‘no regrets’ after farm broadcast career

Farm broadcaster Roddy Peeples happily declares he has no regrets after his career in the farm and ranch news business. The founder of the San Angelo, Texas-based Voice of Southwest Agriculture radio network joined what became the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) in 1956. By his recollection, Peeples has been absent from only one the annual meetings of the organization since he joined. Roddy talks about how his career began, how he came to lead the organization, and how he discovered a way to get more quickly get from place to place in Texas. It’s the NAFB’s 75th Anniversary Convention, and Brownfield presents this historic perspective from a farm broadcast pioneer in the Lone Star State.
