Take a culinary tour of India at Florida Tech's International Dinner on Thursday

November's stop in Florida Tech's International Dinner Series will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, with a culinary trip to India.

FIT's Dining Services gurus work with international students to come up with the menus for these monthly dinners at Panther Dining Hall, which is open to the public.

Cost for the all-you-care-to-eat buffet is $16 per person. 

The Panther Dining Hall, 3113 Panther Place, is just south of the Clemente Center on the Florida Tech campus. Visitor parking is free on the first floor of the parking garage.

The menu for the buffet meal includes:

• Onion Raita: Yogurt-based accompaniment for curry or biryani with onion, ground roasted cumin and coriander

• Paneer Palak: A Punjabi curry of fried paneer with a spinach based curry

• Gobhi 65: Spicy Fried Cauliflower with green chilies & curry leaves

• Chicken Biryani: Delicious marinated pieces of chicken simmered with basmati rice, onion, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander and turmeric.

• Vegetable Biryani: Fluffy basmati rice with onion, gram masala, raisins, almonds, cauliflower, green bean, carrot and new potatoes

• Butter Chicken: Grilled chunks of chicken enveloped in a creamy spiced tomato sauce made with chili, cardamom, cinnamon, almonds and funnugreek

• Mughlai Karahi Gosht: Lamb curry with tomatoes, garlic, and garam masala

• Andra Fish Curry: Fish simmered with tamarind, garlic, ginger and chilies 
 
• Basmati Rice

• Naan 

• Gulab Jamun: A milk solid-based dessert flavored with green cardamom, rose water and saffron

• Milk Payasam: A classic dessert of rice, milk and sugar seasoned with saffron and cardamom
