Chambersburg man arrested for alleged marijuana 'grow operation,' police say

CHAMBERSBURG - A Chambersburg man in jail in lieu of $250,000 bail after authorities responded to a fire at a home and found marijuana growing inside. 

Donald Lee Glass Jr., 63, is charged with one count felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.

The Chambersburg Fire Department responded to the home on Philadelphia Avenue for an alarm on Sunday, Nov. 4, and found the drugs while investigating the incident. 

Chambersburg Police also later arrived, and conducted a search with the Franklin County Drug Task Force, the report shows. Police said they removed drugs and drug paraphernalia from the home.

The report said Glass was arrested for the alleged "grow operation" during this time, after he came to the house while authorities were at the scene. He is the only person who currently lives at the residence. 

Glass was arraigned on Monday, Nov. 5. 

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 15.
