Conservatives Melt Down After SNL's Pete Davidson Mocks a Veteran GOP Candidate's Eye Patch

Conservatives on Sunday melted down after “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson made fun of a veteran who lost his eye during a combat tour in Afghanistan.

During a bit on Republicans running for Congress, Davidson joked that Dan Crenshaw looks like he belongs in a porno.

"This guy is kind of cool, Dan Crenshaw," Davidson said. "You may be surprised to hear he's a congressional candidate for Texas and not a hit-man in a porno movie.”

"I'm sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever," he added.

Davidson later admitted he can't make fun of other people because he looks like he "makes vape juice in a bathtub."

Republicans where quick to jump on the outrage bandwagon, blaming SNL and NBC for allowing Davidson to joke about a war veteran.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released a statement on Sunday demanding an apology from Davidson.

“Getting dumped by your pop star girlfriend is no excuse for lashing out at a decorated war hero who lost his eye serving our country. Pete Davidson and NBC should immediately apologize to Dan, and to the millions of veterans and military families who tune in every weekend – because they’re not laughing,” NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol said.
