Of course, Christians who use this argument never apply it to themselves. I ask them, are you a Buddhist, a Hindu, a Muslim, a __________________? Of course not, they righteously say. Those are FALSE Gods! But isn’t there just a tiny, little bit of evidence that might lead a person to think these God’s are God too? Wouldn’t the “safe” bet be to believe in ALL of these Gods?
I readily admit that I can intellectually understand a person looking at the wonder of the universe and concluding that there is a first cause, a deistic God of some sort. While I may not agree with this view, I do understand it. But, it is a huge jump in illogic to conclude that that God is the God of the Bible, the God that created the universe in six days.
