Logical fallacies, blindness to any beliefs but theirs and arrogance just don’t make an attractive picture. I have attempted to argue with folks such as Ben, along the lines of suggesting that they are ‘damaging their witness.’ What I have tried to explain is that if they learn to present themselves better, people might be more likely to listen to them.
Almost to a man, they reject the notion that they need to change anything. They’re FINE, thank you very much! All of us out here in “the world” are the problem. We need to shut up, heed their ‘truths,’ and not think for ourselves.
Yeah, like that’s going to happen.
