I don’t know what to say except that I am appalled by this pastor’s response to you. He has absolutely no idea how he comes across to others. He is completely clueless. What is someone like this doing counselling people?
It is completely hopeless trying to argue with many Fundamentalists because so many of them have closed minds. They won’t analyse what you say on the merits of your arguments but parse everything you say through their narrow theological grid. They will interpret your reasons for deconverting through their own prejudices and will not accept what you have to say, no matter how many times you put it in BLACK and WHITE and make it plain for them to understand.
Don’t be discouraged by these atheist haters. In spite of the fact that you wrote recently about your humanist values, they seem to think that you have no ethics. With such, it is impossible to have a civilized discussion.
