Collision course:N.C. State may have supplanted Florida State as Clemson's biggest rival

Fourth Quarter - Clemson 41, NC State 7

8:11 - Clemson put in Chase Brice to start its drive but still easily drove down the field to score on a 2-yard touchdown run by Lyn-J Dixon. The drive, spanning 84 yards on eight plays, was the longest touchdown drive of the game for the Tigers. The crowd is currently chanting along with "We Will Rock You" as they watch their Tigers crush the Wolfpack at Death Valley.

12:32 - Rather than run some clock, Clemson drove down the field and scored 3 points on the 50th career field goal by Greg Huegel — a 27-yarder. With a modest rushing output so far, Trevor Lawrence and the receiving corps have been the main producers of yards for the Tigers. Lawrence has 308 yards passing and a touchdown.

14:56 - It took more than 45 minutes for NC State to put points up on the board against Clemson. Reggie Gallaspy II put the Wolfpack on the board, but it's likely too little, too late. Clemson has dominated the entire game and with a 24-point lead, will look to run some clock out.

Third Quarter - Clemson 31, NC State 0

3:54 - Running Back Travis Etienne is officially in the record books. He is the first Clemson player to rush for three touchdowns in three consecutive games. The Tigers got into scoring position after a NC State fake punt was easily sniffed out. Clemson took over inside the Wolfpack 25-yard line. This game is getting out of hand. Fast.

Second Quarter - Clemson 24, NC State 0

0:02 - Clemson intercepted NC State QB Ryan Finley and returned the ball inside the 5-yard line. With six seconds left and no timeouts, the Tigers had the ball at the 1, but back-to-back penalties (false start, delay of game) forced Clemson to kick the field goal instead of going for another touchdown. Despite that mistake, Clemson remains in firm control of the game. In the first half, NC State had no answers for Clemson's offense or defense.

0:46 - Travis Etienne scores his second touchdown of the day. Clemson took over on its own 46 after a botched exchange between NC State QB Ryan Finley and the center. The Tigers have a relatively modest rushing total so far — 42 yards — but Etienne has scored twice and the Tigers are in firm control of this game.

First Quarter - Clemson 14, NC State 0

2:59 - It's turning into the Trevor Lawrence show, once again. Lawrence threw a bomb to Tee Higgins for 46 yards. The way Lawrence throws the football is special. Remember, he's just a freshman. He's already having a profound impact on the Tigers. This is exactly the kind of start Dabo Swinney and the Tigers were envisioning.

11:23 - Clemson got started with a 40-yard kickoff return from Derion Kendrick. The Tigers then drove 57 yards in 9 plays. The drive was capped with a Travis Etienne touchdown. Trevor Lawrence went 4 of 5 for 35 yards. Great start for the Tigers.
