New owners of Greencastle Golf Club swing for success
New owners took over the long-running Greencastle Golf Club at the start of 2018. They quickly began expanding offerings and sprucing up the facility, which now includes a full-service restaurant, Fireside Pub.

BACKGROUND: Ron, Beth, and Ben Powers have lived in the Greencastle area for 23 years. Ron and Beth are retired/soon-to-be retired educators looking forward to a new chapter in their lives. Their son Ben has been the golf pro at the Golf Club for the past two years and is their inspiration for this new endeavor.
Dave and Jen Swam have lived in the Greencastle area for 12 years with their three children. Jen is also an educator, teaching second grade in Hagerstown, Md. Dave has his own business representing cabinet companies. They are very excited to be part of this next chapter at the Greencastle Golf Club!
They're looking forward to improving the course and the restaurant as a place designed for you. They want to create a gathering place for you, your friends, and your family. They are working to improve the Clubhouse by expanding the golf shop and adding a simulator to provide the best situation for analyzing and improving your stroke, fitting you for the perfect clubs, and providing a place for winter golf activities. They have been working to improve the restaurant by adding outdoor seating and expanding the menu. In addition, they hold events to draw people together – family nights, weekend entertainment, game nights, date nights, corn hole and more.
As for the course, the operators and the grounds superintendent, Mark White, have created and prioritized a punch list to work through to improve course conditions and beauty. In addition to enhancing your visits, the improvements to the facilities will hopefully create a place you can be proud to call home.
Membership packets include memberships for people at any level. Lessons and leagues are also designed for golfers from beginners to serious competitors. Their goal is to create a happy place for you!
