Altrusa participates in Aspenfest and will give books to children at Halloween

Wearing their derby hats, members of Ruidoso Altrusa spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness month during the Aspenfest parade, but they'll also be busy with the upcoming Halloween celebration.
Altrusa is sponsoring a children's book giveaway on Halloween in the parking lot of Mitchell Jewelry again this year.
"We encourage families to com by between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to get a book," member Mary Anne McLemore said.
