HARRISBURG -- A Mercersburg man beat the odds of nearly one in a million to win the top prize in the Pennsylvania Lottery’s $300,000 Bonus Crossword instant lottery game.
The man got his $10 ticket in September at the B&J Liberty convenience store, 102 N Main St, Mercersburg. His 18 letters on the ticket matched 10 words in the crossword grid.
His chances of winning the top prize were 1 in 840,000. Four wins remain in the game, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Liberty was entitled to a $500 bonus check from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
