Lindsay Gorham

Gorham joins Orlando Magic staff

Lindsay Gorham, a graduate of West Shore Jr./Sr. High School in Melbourne and the University of Florida, recently joined the staff of the Orlando Magic.

Gorham, 22, is a development coordinator for the Magic and is helping with grassroot efforts to promote fan engagement throughout the Central Florida area.

At UF, Gorham received her bachelor’s of science in sports management with a minor in mass communications.

Moisand leads Aussie delegation

Suntree-based Dan Moisand, a certified financial planner and principal with the wealth management firm Moisand Fitzgerald Tamayo LLC, recently led a delegation of financial planners on a two-week trip to Australia on behalf of the Financial Planning Association.

The delegation and their guests toured Sydney and Melbourne and had several meetings with Australian financial planners, government officials, educators and other financial planning related parties.

This is the fourth international delegation Moisand has led. Prior trips included Russia (2008) China (2011) and India (2013). A past-national President of FPA, Moisand has spoken to planner organizations on six continents. He has been named a top practitioner by at least 10 financial planning publications and appeared on several lists of the most influential planners in the country.

Moisand also  is a  columnist  at FLORIDA TODAY.

Wheeler promoted at Saalex

Randall Wheeler

Saalex Corp. an engineering and information technology services company based in Rockledge, recently promoted Randall Wheeler to chief financial officer, reporting directly to Travis Mack, the company’s president and chief executive officer. Wheeler will be responsible for overseeing the finance, information technology, human resources and contracts departments, as well as leading strategic planning and corporate development efforts.

Wheeler has served as finance director at Saalex since 2004. Prior to starting with Saalex, he spent 15 years as a controller in large public companies and Department of Defense contractors. Wheeler has guided the financial needs of Saalex as it has grown from a few employees in 2004 to more than 600 employees today. He has been named to the Pacific Coast Business Times’ annual list of Who’s Who in CFOs, Controllers, and Financial Executives multiple times.

Wheeler graduated from Portland State University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting and is a certified management accountant. He is a member of the Rotary Club and served as club President during 2009-2010.
