Authorities are investigating the fourth Milwaukee shooting death in the past two days — the first homicides in the city in the past three weeks.

Milwaukee police said they were called to Dineen Park at 7:06 a.m. for a male who suffered from gunshot wound.

"Unfortunately the victim did not survive his wound," police said in a news release. "MPD is investigating this as a possible homicide at the time."

Earlier Wednesday, Milwaukee police said two people were found dead early Wednesday in a shooting on North 10th Street.

Police were called to the 3900 block of North 10th at about 1:50 a.m. for a report about an injured person, police said in a news release.

When they arrived, "officers discovered the bodies of an adult female and an adult male. Both victims had been shot, and unfortunately they both died on the scene," the release said.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, police said. No additional details were provided.

On Tuesday, a 39-year-old man was shot to death on Milwaukee's north side, police said.

The shooting was reported shortly before 10 a.m. in the 4500 block of North 39th Street, according to police, who were seeking a suspect.

The Medical Examiner's Office said it planned autopsies of the four homicide victims later Wednesday.
